Very impressed with John and his staff, I reserved my perfect car with a deposit having not seen i just viewed it on the Internet, and wasn't disappointed, the wheels had been re done as John wasn't satisfied with them, smooth transaction they even set the sat navigation up and paired my phone, I grinned like a Cheshire cat all the way home! Thank you and see you again in the future!

Got a golf from here today and I'm over the moon. Car was in excellent condition and as described and was spotless inside. We spoke to a guy called Stu in the office who was lovely and friendly, he sorted the tax out for me ao i didnt have the hassle, a quick and easy transaction. I recently purchased a one off cheap run around from these guys and was very pleased with my purchase, however after 3 days of driving the engine light came on and I had to contact Stewart to discuss the issue. From start to finish he handled my problem, ensuring that the issue was dealt with quickly, with as little inconvienience to myself.
I can not recommend this garage highly enough if this is how they deal with a cheap car! I will certainly be buying my next car from them. They have great stock.

I just purchased a Landrover Discovery from the Car King. I initially spoke to John, who was very kind on the phone and provided me with all the information i requested. I then started liaising with Stuart for the car delivery. Stuart delivered the car today, and i must say, he is an exceptional guy. He helped me tax the vehicle and transfer it into my name. I had a few issues with my bank and couldn't make the full payment, Stuart was very understanding and patient until we got the issue resolved. He was also kind enough to offer any further advice i may need post car sale. Thank you John and Stuart.

I bought my car on Tuesday. I was in desperate need for a car and John put it through its MOT and fixed what needed to be fixed in order for the vehicle to have no advisories whatsoever. It got delivered the next day and John assisted me throughout the process to get my car taxed and he was very patient with me especially since I was struggling to do it by myself. Thank you so much John and team for all your patience and effort to assist me. I honestly couldn't recommend you guys enough. Thank you all

I had my car delivered by Stuart yesterday. Stuart was great, he explained all the relevant parts and switches to my new car and then helped me change the V5 and tax it. Brilliant service.

Appalling service and experience. Firstly the reservation to take a car off the market is flawed.
I reserved a car , paid the deposit then heard nothing for 2 days .
It took several phone calls by me to finally get to talk to someone who fobbed me off claiming they'd call back , they didn't so I had to call again.
They claimed the car was no longer available and had been sold.
Still waiting for deposit return despite assurances and me chasing it up for more than 48hours.
Shocking customer service and attitude, I'm sure I will have to pursue the return of my money through my bank.

I bought a Mercedes C250 coupe from the car king. Stuart was great, no high pressure sales and we were left to test drive and left alone to look at the car. Stuart dealt with everything and even delivered it. Nothing was too much trouble and I will certainly be visiting again. Highly recommend

Wish I could say we had a positive experience but I would be lying.
We transferred the money to Johns business account and few minutes later he tells us the car has an engine fault, why wait until we paid him, the car runs rough, judders on acceleration and smokes until warm, he has promised to do this and that but never does, the 3 months warranty isn't worth the paper its written on.
I would like to say we feel let down by this company,,

The Car King has been quite simply amazing! I just bought a gorgeous used BMW in impeccable condition. John renewed the MOT and even repaired some of the faults on the vehicle. It arrived today brought by Stuart who exceeded my expectations in every way possible. He helped me to tax the vehicle and change the registration to my name. He also provided advice on the best petrol to use for the age of my car. Stuart was exceptional! Thank you and your fabulous team!

I recently bought a Seat Leon FR from The Car King and I must say I haven’t met a more genuine guy as Stuart that I dealt with, when I viewed the car he left me to it, never pressured me, was very humble and welcoming, gave me the keys left me alone to have a look round the car, he also let me take it for a test drive, the car was a bit rough and Stuart had the bonnet resprayed for me, had it all machine polished and also serviced it for me and also out of the goodness of his own heart got me a new key fob, I bought the car after all that was done, and I was very pleased, unfortunately the turbo blown which was no bodies fault at all, just one of them unfortunate things where it could happened to anyone at any time, I phoned Stuart up straight away and explained what happened and he was very polite and professional he got the car towed back and dealt with the situation straight away and amazingly, he got me a turbo had it all fitted for me and dealt with by very good mechanics, on the day to pick the car up he even went out of his way to put me some fuel back in and also had it cleaned for me again which was such a nice touch, I really can not recommend these guys enough, there was superb with me, which actually surprised me as I’ve never come across dealers as good as these before, thank you Stuart for everything you have done for me I really do appreciate everything, I will definitely recommend The Car King to all my friends and family and I will definitely be back again one day to buy from you guys again, I really don’t have any bad words to say about them over than they are brilliant, definitely a 5 star review from me.

We purchased a car from John 6 weeks ago and I’ve been meaning to write a review because it was such a good experience. I checked the reviews before going and he certainly lived up to all the good reviews. There was a couple of problems with the car but he was happy to sort them out to our satisfaction. We are very happy with the car so far. We are a fan of the Hyundai Santa Fe owning a mk1, mk2 and now a mk3 which is by far the best car we have owned. I personally find car buying stressful but he made it a smooth transaction start to finish. Thanks John would happily recommend the car king. 👍

Just bought an X-Trail from Car King. Always a bit apprehensive buying a car unseen but John was honest with the description and condition (which was excellent). The guys even sorted out delivery for me all the way to Edinburgh. Very happy with the whole process and wouldn't hesitate to recommend John or to use Car King again.

I Bought a Jaguar XF off of John in July last year 2020 and I was really cautious when making the purchase. John helped me all the way. Made the handover nice and simple and any questions or worries was dealt with. Nearly a year on and it was the best decision I made. Great buying experience and very happy with my new car. Allowed me to view with very short notice which was really helpful. Upon arrival we were told to take our time viewing the car. No hovering or pushing for a sale. Car was exactly as described which was a breath of fresh air after viewing numerous poorly described cars. Would highly recommend and would defiantly purchase from them again.

Brilliant!

Really seamless and non-pushy process from start to finish. We put a £100 refundable deposit down to go and have a look and test drive. With us working all week we thought it would be difficult arranging something but they said Sunday morning was fine. They sorted out the tax and other admin for us upon buying the car and as I say was very friendly and not pressurising at all. The car is also great (so far) and we got it for a good price! No problems and would reccommend! Thank you!

Car buying made easy

The whole process of purchasing a new car was made as stressfree as possible. The car itself (audi a5) was exactly as described in the advert and was presented very clean and well looked after. Customer service was extremely friendly and informative. Would definitely endorse others do business with car king and i most likely will be doing when buying my next car.

THE CAR KING - RULES

Made contact during the COVID period and found the car king to be very helpful with sending me answers to all my questions about the vehicle. A deposit was paid and straight away the vehicle was marked as sold. Due to the lock down the pick up of the vehicle was delayed and at no time was I put under pressure to take any action, managed to arrange a date to see the vehicle and take a test drive, which was great. The car king was more than helpful and made me feel part of the family. After what seemed like a very short period I was off down the road in my new vehicle. Well happy!

Car buying made easy in lockdown

So pleased with the experience and our new car. Saw the car on CarGuru, contacted via email and got a call from John to advise available and go through process in lockdown. We agreed a part-ex price for our car, I paid the deposit and asked for delivery. £100 deposit paid and the next day the car was delivered to our home. The condition was as described and all paperwork in order. A test drive and look over the car made up our mind. A quick call to pay the agreed sum and off went our old car and we were the proud new owners of a lovely new car. The past year has been awful for all of us but the process in place with the Car King has made car buying a pleasure (and I've never thought that before) Really pleased with our purchase so far and grateful to the very friendly team. Would definitely recommend.
